Setting up your SMI 100 to meet your scenting needs.
Getting Started
- Open the door (key is provided).
- Insert a D battery or connect a USB cord for power (not included).
- Slide out the bottle/nozzle component and fill the bottle with your preferred diffusible scent oil.
- Choose your mode using the switch on the bottom left, inside the door:
- Flip LEFT for 24H Mode
- Flip RIGHT for RADAR Mode
- Wait 3 minutes for the unit to warm up.
- To calibrate: long-press the small button for 1–2 seconds, then release.
- Press the button repeatedly to toggle between settings and choose your level (see chart below).
Tip: If you press the button before the 3 minutes are up, you'll hear a short beep — that just means it's not ready yet. Give it a bit more time.
24H Mode
Scents your space continuously on a repeating schedule throughout the day. After warm-up and calibration, toggle through the levels to choose how often you'd like the scent to release.
RADAR Mode
Scents your space when it detects motion — but only once per timer cycle. Set a wait time (for example, 15 minutes). When someone passes the sensor, it scents the space, then won't trigger again until that time has passed. Once the timer runs out, the next person to pass will trigger it again. After warm-up and calibration, toggle through the options to set your preferred wait time between scenting.
Scenting Level Chart
Each level lights up one of the 5 LEDs, left to right. Higher levels scent more frequently — the burst stays the same length but the pause between bursts gets shorter.
Diffuser Care & Maintenance
To keep your SMI 100 running at its best, clean it out every couple of months — even if it hasn’t been in use. Clogs can occur from both heavy use and extended non-use, and some more intense scents may require more frequent attention.
